Tuesday, August 30th was the first day of first grade. The bus stop is around the corner from our house since the bus route doesn't go down our actual street. Cole and Caden are the only ones at the bus stop but there is another bus stop literally 3 houses down. Doesn't make any sense to me!
Cole and Caden don't share a classroom but they meet up on the playground at every recess time. They are strong buddies, these two.
Cole talks a lot about first grade every day...more so than he used to about kindergarten. He talks about getting milk and trying hot lunch, about music class, and getting to know some of the other kids. He comes home every day with several Paws stickers on his front shirt but for the life of him cannot recall what he got them for each day (Paws are stickers or rewards for a teacher catching a student doing something kind or listening to rules or some other kind of good deed.) I am so glad we settled in Londonderry- the school system is one of the biggest reasons we did.

I love that they are such pals.. Caden told me today that they are now assined to sit together on the bus because they used to have to hang out of their seats to talk to each other... causing trouble already!! Look out!
